In the late hours on Friday, March 20, 2020 Deacon Whedbee Lee Bond gained a new duty for Christ, he joined the Deacon Board of his Heavenly Father. Deacon Bond tranistioned peacefully with his loving wife, daughter and son-in-law by his bedside.

He was the son of the late Percy and Gladys Bond. Deacon Bond was a proud member of New Middle Swamp Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for a number of years.

Due to COVID-19 at this time ALL services for Mr. Bond will be conducted PRIVATELY for the family.  At a later date the family has opted to share sweet memories during a public Memorial Service, that will be announced a later date.

Deacon Bond leaves to cherish his sweet memories his beautiful and devoted wife-Mary Bond of the home; daughter-Tomika Bond-Boone (Elliot) of Gates, NC; sister-Gladys Harrell; brother-Albert Bond; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

The Bond Family granted Deacon Whedbee Lee Bond his final wishes and entrusted him to his funeral of home choice, the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home. DJSMFH professional staff will assist the Bond Family during their time of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and personalized detailed services.
