The Felton Family are sadden to announce the passing of their father Seymour Felton, Jr., whom was known to many as "Pete". "Pete" transitioned peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2019 in Waterbury, Connecticut. He was the son of the late Seymour Felton, Sr and Geneva Felton.
"Pete" was a country boy that liked to travel, but never forgot his upbringings in the Debry Community. He could easily be identified by his "hats". His baby girl Deloris and himself shared the love of cheering on Americas Favorite NFL team the DALLAS COWBOYS!
His children granted "Pete" all of his final wishes, especially bringing him back home to Elizabeth City and letting the DJSMFH team handle his final arrangements. The Felton children have decided on the final arrangements for their father. Friends and family will have the opportunity to reflect on his life starting on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the one o'clock hour until two o'clock at the Whiteville Grove AME Zion Church in the Weeksville Township of Elizabeth City, NC. Promptly at two o'clock the Going Home Services will start, with his brother in-law Rev. Johnnie Mullen, bringing forth words of comfort for the family, Rev. Bonner is the Pastor.
"Pete" leaves to cherish years of memories to his five wonderful children, two sons-Marvin Felton (Pamela), Vincent A. Felton all of Maryland; three beautiful daughters- Linzeila R. Turner of Elizabeth City, NC, Robin D. Felton of Virginia and Deloris A. Felton-Overton (Tyler) of Augusta, GA; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; one brother- Julis Felton of Waterbury, CT; one sister- Margie Felton-White of Norfolk, VA; one brother in-law- Rev. Johnnie E. Mullen of Elizabeth City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Felton Family has entrusted "Pete" into the professional care of the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, to provide unprecedented, sincere personalized and compassionate services to them during the final care of process for "Pete". Please continue to uplift the Felton Family and the connected families through words of comfort, prayers, hugs, thought or a smile or two.
