Ronald "Focus" Edward Jennings

Ronald "Focus" Edward Jennings, the son of the late Melvin D. Jennings and Flora Gordon-Jennings transitioned peacefully on May 26, 2022, with no final words spoken or even said good-bye he was gone before we knew it and only God knows why.

At an early age, Ronald joined the Bagley's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Later in his adult life he began to worship with the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, and later joined and remained an active member until his untimely passing. In 1970, he graduated from the Perquimans County Union School. Upon graduation he enlisted and served in the United States Army.

"Focus" was known for his stylish Red Corvette, that you would often see him styling and profiling in, with his music playing (especially "Can You FOCUS on me") and his sunshades on. He enjoyed meeting up with others that owned Corvettes and motorcycles. 

The Jennings Family will remember the life of Ronald on Monday, June 06, 2022 at eleven o'clock in the morning at the Jennings Family Cemetery. Pastor Mornings, will bring forth words of encouragement for the family. 

Ronald was preceded in death by his father: Mr. Melvin D. Jennings, Sr; sister: Flora E. Jennings-Davis; and brother: Melvin D. Jennings, Jr. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his mother: Mrs. Flora Gordon-Jennings of the home; daughter: Catina Massey of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter: Oshiba Massey of Virginia Beach,VA; three aunts: Mrs. Cora Hunt of Arizona; Ms. Grace Gordon of Hertford,NC; Ms. Shirley Darden of Greenville, NC; one aunt-in-law: Ms.Era M. Gordon of Edenton, NC; three nieces: Tameka Blakemore of Durham, NC, Shakera Watson of Hampton, VA, Porsche' Jennings of Hertford, NC; two nephews: D'Juan Bowman of Durham, NC and Janahj Jennings of Hertford, NC; a host of cousins and friends. 

The Jennings Family entrusted the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team will assist the Jennings Family during their hours of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed personalized services catered to the Jennings Family wishes and desires.
