Patricia Diane (Barcliff) Whidbee

On a beautiful morning before the sun rose, God whispered in Pat’s ear and said, “It’s time my Love. Your space in my mansion awaits you.” On April 26th Pat ascended to her heavenly home. She peacefully transitioned from this side of glory to His Glory.

Patricia was the eldest of two children born to William Calebrew and Jesse Barcliff. Like her younger brother, William C. Barcliff III, they all preceded Pat in death. She will now have a glorious reunion with her family. Pat emerged from a family of singers. Her mom and her, can together, sing praises to our God once again.

Pat graduated from Camden County High School in 1973. After graduating she was a committed hard worker and held several positions. She found her niche as the Shift Leader at Duck Thru Food Store. She was there many years until retiring in May 2016. She made many life-long friends and acquaintances while serving pork chops, catfish, string beans and more.

Pat’s final days were filled with love and compassion. She left this side of glory knowing she was dearly loved and appreciated. We laughed and cried during her season of transition. But there were many things unsaid. Pat was a quiet spirit but had no problem telling you how she felt about one thing or another. She lived life on her own terms. For that she was well respected.

Pat's viewing will take place at the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Church Street, Gatesville, NC 27938 on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 during the hours of five o'clock until seven o'clock. We shall celebrate Pat’s life on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at eleven-thirty in the morning, with at a graveside service taken place at  Dove’s Landing (previously known as New Oak Grove Cemetery), located on Peartree Road, Elizabeth City, NC.
