On Wednesday, May 26, 2021 our beloved Marylyn Michelle Felton gained her angels wings and went to be with Lord while surrounded by loving friends.

Marylyn was born on February 20, 1958 to the late Charlie Person and Maybell Brown. She was later adopted by late Harry and Tallie Felton.

"Michelle" as she was affectionately known by graduated from Northeastern High School, in Elizabeth City, NC. After graduation she worked as a CNA at Heritage Care and Waterbrooke  until her health declined. She was an avid supporter and cheerleader of the best football team, THE DALLAS COWBOYS, she would often chant "how 'bout 'dem Cowboys"!!!!

The life of "Michelle" will be remembered on Friday, June 04, 2021 starting at the five o'clock hour until seven o'clock at the Porters Chapel AME Zion Church. During these two hours friends will have the opportunity to take part in the Pause and Reflection time (walk-through only). On Saturday, June 05, 2021 the Celebration of a Blessed Life will take place at one o'clock in the afternoon, Porters Chapel AME Zion Church, where Pastor Fondella Leigh will bring forth words of comfort. Michelle final place of rest will be in the Doves Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth City, NC. 

During ALL services for Michelle we will follow social distancing protocols and we're asking for those in attendance to wear face coverings.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters: Gladys Manning (Alonza), Ella Grimes, Marie Barnes (Thad), Helen Ruth Person, two brothers: Jerome Person and James Person (Lisa), one aunt: Catherine Doxie-Thomas, one uncle: Robert Brown, and her special friend Albert Davis Jr, who she loved with all her heart. Even though she did not have any biological children, she was a nurturer to Albert, Jr.’s four children: Yvette, Pat, Delton, and Trelton , his grandchildren (Montrel,Quanisha, Ronae, Tay-Tay, Areshia, Ky’Ron, Kameron, Deyonna, Carneshia, Tyasia, Ni’Gee, and Nahzijir) and his great- grandchildren, and one god-son: Shrondale Riddick.

The Felton and Davis Families entrusted the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team will assist the Felton and Davis Families during their hours of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed personalized services catered to the Felton and Davis Families wishes and desires. Please continue to uplift the family of M. Michelle Felton and all connected families through words of comfort, telephone calls/text messages, prayers, "virtual" hugs, thoughts or even just a smile.
