Obituary

"ALL day and ALL night angels are watching over the Boone Family"

"Ethel...THANK YOU for being a friend, you traveled down the road and back again, your heart was true, you were our pal and confidant...THANK YOU for being a friend!"

Little did we know on the morning of January eleventh that God would call the name of our beloved Ethel Mae Winslow-Boone. She bid no one her last farewell, or even said good-bye, she didn't give us her final bright beautiful smile, she was gone before we knew it and only God knows why.

Ethel was the daughter of the late Kermit and Cladie Winslow.

Ethel was a beautiful and genuine loving person on the inside and out. She made friends wherever she went because of her contagious, affectious smile and caring spirit. Ethel loved to cook, bake, take care of her family and to make other people happy. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas, Ethel loved to use her creativity to decorate her home. She would receive a plethora of compliments by anyone that was in the Belvidere area.

At this time the Boone Family is planning to Celebrate the beautiful life of Ethel on Friday, January twenty-first at the Riddick Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Belvidere, NC, with an hour of Rememberance starting at the eleven o'clock hour. Words of comfort will be provided at noon with immediate burial at Cedarwood Cemetery in Hertford, NC.

Due to the current Pandemic that we are facing, ALL participants attending the services for Ethel are required to wear a face covering during the duration of the services. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE FOR THE SERVICE!

Ethel leaves many years of fond memories to her loving husband- Isaiah Boone of the home; one daughter and best friend-Felicia Boone of Durham, NC; one son-Deon Boone of Elizabeth City, NC; one grandson-Julian Bartlett of Camden, NC; two sisters- Thelma Ward of Goldsboro, NC and Velma Boone (Thomas); one brother-Melvin Winslow (Delores) of Perquimans County; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
