On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 Mother Erma Lee Honeyblue in accordance with God's Will departed this life where she can now, put on her robe and tell her story of how she made it over.

Mrs. Erma Lee Honeyblue, the daughter of the late Leander Long and Dora Newby Long, was born on September 15th, 1938, in Chowan County. 

Erma was united in holy wedlock to the late James Willie Honeyblue Sr. From this union they were blessed with eight children, one of which  preceded her in death, Pamela Honeyblue.

The Honeyblue Family will honor Mother Honeyblue's life on Friday, the fifth day of April in the year of twenty-twenty four during a viewing at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Hertford, NC. The viewing will take place from five o'clock until seven o'clock. On Saturday the sixth day of April, the Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Honeyblue will commence at two o'clock at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where Pastor Rev. Dr. William Sawyer will bring forth words of comfort. Mother Honeyblue earthly vessel will be laid to rest in the terra firma of the church cemetery.

Erma leaves to cherish many years of fond memories to- two daughters, Dorothy Honeyblue of Hertford, NC,  Arlenea Honeyblue-Parrish (Willie) of Durham, NC; Five Sons Sherman Honeyblue Sr. (Lisha) of Anchorage, AK, James W. Honeyblue Jr., of Edenton, NC., Gerald Honeyblue (Virginia) of Raleigh, NC., Rev. Dr. Larry Honeyblue (Glenda) of Raleigh, NC., Joseph Honeyblue (Damesha) of Greensboro, NC; one sister Sarah Downing of Edenton, NC; two sister -in -laws Ethel Judge of Edenton, NC., Dorothy Pujols of Boston, MA; one aunt Annie Phelps of Fayetteville, NC; twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Honeyblue Family entrusted the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team will assist the Honeyblue Family during their hours of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed personalized services catered to the Honeyblue Family wishes and desires.
