Douglas "Ball White" White Obituary

"ALL day and ALL night ANGELS are watching over the White Family"

"Father can you hear me, We need your love today
I know that you are listening, You hear me everyday
Father please hear us, And we will be ok..."

Little did the White Family know on the morning of December 02, 2021 that God would call their husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Douglas Wayne White, home. He bid no one a last farewell or even said goodbye, he was gone before the White Family knew it and only God knows why. Douglas slipped peacefully into the arms of our Lord in the comfort of his home.

Douglas was the son of the late James and Willow White. Douglas was a member of Riddick's Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his unexpected passing.

On Sundays, Mondays or Thursdays if the Washington Football Team was playing, you could hear Douglas cheering "Hail to the Redksins".

The family of Douglas will begin the Homegoing Celebration for this wonderful man on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the twelve noon hour, with the Reflection and Rememberance Service that will take place in the sanctorium of the Riddick's Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Belvidere, NC. When the chronograph strikes one o'clock in the afternoon the Celebration of Life Service will take place, with Pastor Millie Jordan bringing forth words of comfort to the family and friends. Douglas will be laid to rest in the White Family Cemetery in Belvidere, NC.

Douglas is leaving seventy years of profound memories to his wife- Barbara Boone-White of the home; three beautiful daughters-Rose White-Gregory (Lester) of Hertford, NC; Kimberly White-Whitehurst of Belvidere, NC and Lillie White of the home; three outstanding sons-Christopher Boone (Kurrine) of New York, Douglas J. White, Sr. of Hertford, NC and Robert Boone; besides his children Douglas saw fit to rear two additional sons-Robert Boone of Norfolk, VA and Kaleb Diaz (TyChanna) of Dudley, NC; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven sisters-Clara Parker of New York, Deloris Hurdle of Belvidere, NC, Rachel Goss, Kathy Fentress (Robert), Irma Harvey (Ernest), Dorothy White and Dianne Wilkerson (Melvin) all of Norfolk, VA; four brothers-Alvin White of Maryland, Charlie White (Sharon) of Elizabeth City, NC, Lester White of Belvidere, NC and Michael White of Norfolk, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
