We are saddened to announce that a link has been broken in the Morris Family Chain from South Mills, NC. Mr. Carl Weldon Morris, of Mahnomen, Minnesota, transitioned on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Ecumen, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Mr. Morris was born on May 19, 1944 in Camden County, North Carolina  to the late David G. and Mildred McPherson Morris. He was a graduate of Marion Anderson High School, Belcross, North Carolina, class of 1962. Carl was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.

A service of Reflection and Remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC starting at the twelve hundred hour.

Seventy-four years of memories of Mr. Morris are being cherished by his wife, Deborah Morris of Mahnomen, Minnesota; one son, Andre Morris (Arrovia) of High Point, NC; two daughters, Anita Bostic of Atlanta, Ga, and Carla Morris of Richmond, Va; three grandchildren, Chandler Morris of Greensboro, NC, Tyler Morris of Fuquay-Varina NC and Brandon Morris of Maryland; two brothers, Anthony Dwight Morris (Cynthia) of Elizabeth City, NC and Myron Morris of South Mills, NC; three sisters, Barbaraette Davis of South Mills, NC, Dianne Whidbee of Elizabeth City, NC, and Marvalene Mouzon of Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

The Morris Family has allowed the Team at Dennis j. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home to assist them with the transitioning notification and service of Mr. Carl W. Morris and provide them with sincere, compassionate, personalized care ad support during this difficult time. Please continue to uplift the entire Morris Family and all connected families through words of comfort, hug, thought, or maybe even a smile.
