In the early morning hours of Friday, January 28, 2022 our beloved brother, uncle, and friend Alton McCoy Wiggins, departed this life at the Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. He was the son of the late Cleveland Wiggins, Jr., "Tuck" and Eliza Virginia Riddick Wiggins "Jinny".

Alton was a member of Mission of Hope Church, where he was devoted to God and his church family.

If you truly knew Alton, you knew that he was as "THEE BIGGEST" Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He ate, slept and breathed black and gold. He never passed up an opportunity to speak on the six super bowl rings they had won.

A walk through viewing will take place on Friday from five o'clock until seven o'clock, at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at the Upper Room Assembly in Gates, NC at one o'clock with Rev. Ronnie Riddick bringing forth words of comfort to the family and friends. Alton's earthly shell will be laid to rest in the Mission of Hope Church Cemetery.

Special Note: Due to the current Pandemic that we are facing, face covering and social distancing will be mandated for the walk thru viewing, funeral service and burial.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-Bradford and Lee Wiggins.

Alton leaves to cherish his memories to his brother-Wesley Wiggins (Linda); sisters-Bertha Riddick (Willie) and Sandra Wiggins all of Gates, NC; four nephews and nieces-Jermaine and LaTasha Wiggins, LaShayna and Jordan Riddick all of Gates, NC; two great nieces-Alaijah and Ayanna Wiggins both of Sunbury, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
