Winfield Outland , transitioned to her new home in Glory on Monday, February 5, 2018.

Winfield was born on April 14, 1950 in Gates County to the late Joe Outland, Sr., and Louvenia Walton Outland. She was the 10th child of 17 siblings. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Ethel Lee and Minnie; and eight brothers; Nathaniel Sr., Leslie, David, John Henry, Robert, Willie, Raymond and Charlie.

She grew up in Gatesville, NC and at an early age, she joined Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church in which she attended until her health started to decline. She also attended the public schools in Gates County. In her younger years, she earned a certificate in Electronics and also worked as a home health assistant.

Funeral services for Miss. Outland will be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Lebanon Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Gatesville, NC starting at the one o'clock hour. Rev. Andre' Powell is the Pastor, Minister Patricia Mozell-Jones will bring forth the Eulogy. Miss Outland will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Winfield leaves to cherish her memories; five sisters: Laura Wiggins, Durham, NC; Mattie Walton, Chesapeake, VA; Rosa Harrell (Eugene), Corapeake, NC; Cora Outland, Gatesville, NC; and Stella Riddick (Dwight), Gates, NC; one brother: Joe Outland, Jr., Hertford, NC; one sister-in-law: Eunice Outland, Greenville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Outland Family has entrusted Winfield into the care of the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, to provide sincere personalized and compassionate services to them during the final care of Winfield Outland.
