It is with compassionate and heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. William Perry of Hertford, NC. Mr. Perry gained his wings and flew to his Heavenly home on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Sentara Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, NC, surrounded by his loving family by his side.

Mr. Perry was the son of the late Elihue and Madgie B. Perry. He was preceded in death by five siblings-Dallas, Arthur, Esther, Faye and James.

Celebration of life for William will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Bay Branch AME Zion Church, Belvidere, NC at eleven o'clock in the morning. Viewing of Mr. Perry will be on Friday January 26, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the church.

The legacy and memories of William will be cherished by three daughters-W. Reta Blair (William) of Winfall, NC, Donna Carter-Sharif (Hassan) of Plainfield, NJ and Dinah Perry Daniel of West Windsor, NJ; one son-William E. Perry, Jr. of Plainfield, NJ; two step-sons-Wayne Armstrong of Middlesex, NJ and Dwayne Armstrong (Carmen) of Dunellen, NJ; one sister-Gloria Holley of Hertford, NC; two aunts-Eliza Perry of Key West, FL and Mary Bryant of Hertford, NC; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The Perry family has chosen the dedicated and capable staff of the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home to assist them during their time of bereavement and final care of their father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Please whisper a prayer for the entire Perry family.
