Ms. Vera Lee Wiggins transitioned peacefully into the arms of our Lord during the evening hours of Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ms. Vera Burnett.

Ms. Wiggins lived a quiet life but believed in getting her "house in order". At an early age she joined the First Baptist Missionary Church in Hertford, NC. During this time, she served on the Ushers Ministry. Ms. Vera loved children, this led her to a career of being a substitute educator within the Perquimans County School System.

The life of Ms. Wiggins will be honored during a Graveside Service on Friday, April 17, 2026 at eleven o'clock in the morning at the Cedarwood Cemetery in Hertford, NC.

Vera's request was honored by entrusting the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team assured that Ms. Vera Wiggins services were unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed. Please continue to uplift the immediate family and all connected families of Ms. Vera Wiggins through words of comfort, telephone calls/text messages, prayers, "virtual" hugs, thoughts or even just a smile.
