With broken hearts the Bryant Family of Hertford, NC is saddened to announce the demise of their mother, grandmother, aunt, Deaconess, Choir member and friend Mary Elizabeth Harris Bryant . Mrs. Bryant gained her angel wings and went to be with her Heavenly Father and to be joined together once again with the love of her life the late Mr. Dallas Bryant, Sr .. Mrs. Bryant slipped peacefully into her eternal rest on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Concordia Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Elizabeth City, NC; surrounded by her outstanding family members and caregivers by her side.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening, at the Bay Branch AME Zion Church, Belvidere, NC. The Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of Deaconess Bryant will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Bay Branch AME Zion Church. Mrs. Bryant will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bryant Family Cemetery in Winfall, NC.

Mrs. Bryant leaves many fond and beautiful memories to her children two daughters-Della Riddick (Albert) of Elizabeth City, NC, LaTange Baker (Rodney) of Atlanta, GA; three sons-Dallas Bryant, Jr. (Andrea) of Atlanta, GA, Paul Bryant (Yvonne) of Raleigh, NC, and Garry Bryant of Georgia; three sisters-Patricia Robinson (Tyrone), Delphine Dancy, and Pauline Merritt; four brothers-Harvey Merritt, Jerome Merritt, Vincent Merritt and Jimmy Davis; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church members and choir members.

The Bryant Family has chosen their family at the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home , to carry out their wishes to honor their mother. DJSMFH professional staff will assist the Bryant Family during their time of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and personalized detailed services . Please continue to uplift the immediate family of Mrs. Mary Bryant and all connected families through words of comfort, prayer, hug, thought or a smile!
