J erry G erstell M cPherson answered the call of the Lord and transitioned peacefully to his new home and answered to his new name in Glory on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC. Jerry was surrounded by his loving and devoted family when he was called home.

A Celebration of Life Service to celebrate the life of Jerry will be conducted at The United House of Prayer For All People, South Mills, NC on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at one o'clock in the afternoon, with Elder SB Watts, delivering the words of comfort. There will NOT be a viewing of Mr. McPherson on Friday evening nor one hour prior to the Celebration of Life.

Mr. McPherson was the son of the late Ornie and Irene McPherson.

Survived by his loving wife of twelve years-Linda Mcherson; his children that he adored Jemar (Erin) McPherson of Morrisville, NC, Nicole McPherson of Cary, NC, Nicholas McPherson of Raleigh, NC, Channing Skinner of Currituck, NC, MaNeka (James) West of Hinesville, GA, Brandon Skinner of Hertford, NC, Toneei (Sterling) Burnett of RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, Veronica Lawrence of Richmond, VA and Birshara (Tyronne) Cox of Durham, NC: his brother Emanuel McPherson of South Mills, NC, 2 sisters Carlene McPherson of Virginia Beach, VA and Marvella McPherson of South Mills, NC and 9 grandchildren.

Jerry has been entrusted into the care of the Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home staff to render sincere, personalized and compassionate services to them during this difficult time. Whisper a prayer for the entire McPherson family and all connected families during their time of bereavement.
