Constance "Connie" Adrienne
Newsome
July 22, 1953 – January 20, 2025
"ALL day and ALL night ANGELS are watching over the Newsome Family"
"Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine, He's been my fourth man in the fire, time after time
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood
And what He did for me on Calvary is more than enough
...
Perfect submission, all is at rest
I know the author of tomorrow has ordered my steps
So this is my story and this is my song
I'm praising my risen King and Savior all the day long..."
Constance Adrienne Newsome , affectionately known as Connie, slipped peacefully into eternal rest in the comfort of her residence on January 20, 2025. She was the daughter of Linwood Newsome and Merline Newsome (Wiggins).
Connie graduated from Eli Whitney High School in Brooklyn, NY before proudly serving her country in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975. During her military service, she was stationed in Germany and earned an honorable discharge. Following her time in the Army, Connie embarked on a dedicated career with the U.S. Postal Service and later worked for the N.Y.C. Transit Authority.
"...I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
That's why I trust Him, that's why I trust Him..."
