"ALL day and ALL night Angels are watching over the White Family"
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
From whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
Which made heaven and earth..."
Bernice T. White slipped peacefully away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Bernice was the son of the late Booker T. White and Anna Overton White.
Everyone that knew Bernice and had a friendship with him, had their own nickname for him such as, "Jack", "BT", "Tough", "Charles" and Bubble".
"Jack" life will be remembered on Friday, August 25, 2023 from five o'clock until seven o'clock in sanctum of the Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church. On Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the noon hour Pastor Alvin J. Boone along with other clergy will lead the White Family into the Homegoing Service for "Jack". "BT" final place of rest will be in the Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jack leaves to cherish his memories to a very special friend-Linda Bean who went above and beyond; one brother-James White, Sr., of Belvidere, NC; four nieces-Bertha JoAnn White of Belvidere, NC, Pamela Collins of Durham, NC, Lori White of Belvidere, NC and Kwanna Collins (Ambrose) of Brooklyn, NY; two nephews-William White, Sr., (Roberta) of Belvidere, NC and James White, Jr., of Winfall, NC; eleven great-nieces and nephews, twelve great-great nieces and nephews; a host of cousins and friends.
He also, had a special friend Izean Chestnut who preceded him death and her children-Joyce Hunter, Jeannine Mullen, Steve Mullen and Clarence Chestnut, Jr., along with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The White Family entrusted the team of Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team will assist the White Family during their hours of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed personalized services catered to the White Family wishes and desires. Please continue to uplift the family of Bernice T. "Jack" White and all connected families through words of comfort, telephone calls/text messages, prayers, "virtual" hugs, thoughts or even just a smile.
