Anthony a life - long Gates County resident was educated in the Gates County School Syste m. While i n attending high school Anthony obtained his CDL’s and drove school/activity buses and was a me mber of the National Guard going to drills on the weekends . He graduated from Gates County High School in 1992 and joined the National Guard, until an injury took place.

H e drove for se veral trucking companies making many friends along the way . H is love of trucks led him to his ultimate goal …. of becoming the proud owner-operator of A. G. Melton Trucking LLC. Anthony had a heart of gold and a grin to match . To know him was to love him. Anthony was always willing to help and teach ot hers how to do something. Anthony was a member of the Meherrin Indian Tribe.

The Melton Family with broken hearts, made one of the hardest decisions to plan the service for their beloved Anthony. On Saturday, February 27, 2021 at noon, friends and family members can pay their final respects at the Upper Room Assembly in Gatesville, NC by taken part in a Pause and Reflect Viewing. Promptly at one o'clock the Farewell Ceremony will go forth with Rev. Charles Reid bringing words of comfort to the family. The temporary end of the road for the Melton Family and Anthony will be at the Winslow Family Cemetery in Hobbsville, NC.

Due to the current Pandemic that we are being faced with, we will adhere to all social distancing and safety protocols. All participants will be required to wear facial coverings and maintain the six-foot social distancing mandate.

He leaves to mourn his wife , high school sweetheart and soul mate of 2 9 years Kisha Figgs-Melton “Little Mama”; Sons: Devonte ’ Melton (Yessenia) and Damien Melton and a daughter Monica Melton all of Gates, NC . The pride and joys of his life were playing with his two granddaughters Malina and Inaya Melton and a grandson Bre ’ on Melton. Sisters: Christina (Jeffrey) Walker of Suffolk Va. and Deborah Melton of Hampton, Va. B rothers Thomas F iggs jr (Shalon) of Tacoma, WA and Travis Figgs (Odessa) of Charlotte, NC; t hree nephews, four niece; a host of uncles, aunts , cousins, friends, GG & GGM (Thomas & Nancy Figgs) and adopted children.

Stallings Memorial Funeral Home of Gatesville, NC to serve them during their time of bereavement. DJSMFH professional team will assist the Melton Family during their hours of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere, heartfelt, compassionate and detailed personalized services catered to the Melton Family wishes and desires.
