Once again, the Blanchard Family circle has been broken a vital link is now gone. Mrs. Irma Mae Perry-Blanchard slipped peacefully into her eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 surrounded by her her children. She is now galloping down the streets paved in gold with with her robe and crown carried by the white horse which she described so vividly to her family just a few hours before she took her last breath.

Mrs. Blanchard was the last surviving child of the late Herman and Hannah Perry. She was also preceded in death by two sons-Albert and Derrick Blanchard. Mrs. Blanchard worked for a number of years at the Don Juan Shirt Factory in Hertford, NC.

The Blanchard offspring decided unanimously on the services that will be conducted for their mother. On Saturday, the fifteenth day of June, two thousand nineteen starting precisely at eleven o'clock in the morning friends and family will be able to view her earthly vessel, at the Greater Saunders Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Promptly at noon the Homegoing Service will begin with Bishop Landon B. Mason bringing forth words of comfort. The Blanchard children final wish that, they could grant their mother would be to bury her beside the love of her life of sixty-one years the late Mr. Watson Blanchard in the Blanchard Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Irma leaves to cherish four devoted children- Andreia Blanchard of Hamden, CT, Kenneth Blanchard (Teressa) of Belvidere, NC, Michelle and John Blanchard both of the home; daughter-in-law-Juanita Blanchard of Elizabeth City, NC; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Blanchard Family has elected to  once again, entrust their beloved family member into the funeral establishment that they have trusted before to provide them with compassionate care. DJSMFH professional team will assist Mrs. Blanchard's family during their time of bereavement and beyond through unprecedented, sincere and personalized services.
