Midday on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 our beloved Charlie Frank Walton, SAID YES to the calling of our Lord. Mr. Walton was called home while a resident at the Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center, Elizabeth City, NC. During Charlie's transition he was surrounded by his loving and devoted children, who made sure their father received the most impeccable care. 

Mr. Walton was the son of the late Roland Walton and Etta Beasley Walton and the husband of Shirley Walton of the home.

The funeral Liturgy for Mr. Walton will be conducted at the Winslow Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, Belvidere, NC on Sunday, the third day of February starting at two o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. Joseph Walton is the Pastor and will be rendering the Eulogy for this special time for the Walton Family.  Friends and family will be able to reflect on special times during the allotted one hour time frame prior to the Liturgy. Mr. Walton's final place of rest from labor to reward will be in the Walton Family Cemetery.  

During the days leading up to the Funeral Liturgy the Walton Family will receive and greet their friends and family in the home of their beloved father Charlie Frank Walton.

In addition to his wife, survivors include six daughters- Mary Ann Norris (Samuel) of St. Petersburg Florida, Dorothy Holley (Freeman) of Hobbsville, NC, Dollie Manley (Ronald) of New Jersey, Shirley Hickson ( Dwayne Catten) of Belvidere, NC, Charlene Walton Gregory (Donshay) of Newport News, VA and Darlene Walton Lindsey (Thomas) of Clayton, NC, four sons-  Richard Walton of Hobbsville, NC, Thomas Hickson of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Hickson (Regina) of Belvidere, NC and Tony Hickson (Marilon) of Virginia Beach, VA, two sisters-  Katherine Walton and Fannie Jordan both of Waterbury, Conn, two brothers-  John Walton of Belvidere, NC and Ervin Walton of Waterbury, Conn, sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The Walton Family has unanimously elected to entrust their father into the capable and compassionate care of the team at the Dennis J.
